2.Edge sealing effect

The edge sealing effect of PUR edge banding machine is more beautiful and smooth, and has good moisture-proof performance.  After curing, PUR glue forms a dense protective layer, which effectively prevents water penetration and is suitable for furniture production in various humidity environments. In comparison, the edge sealing effect of EVA edge banding machine is relatively weak, it is more prone to problems such as delamination and peeling, and its moisture-proof performance is also poor.

3.Environmental performance

PUR glue is an environmentally friendly adhesive that does not contain harmful substances such as formaldehyde and complies with European E0 environmental standards.  The production process of PUR edge banding machine does not produce harmful gases and is environmentally friendly. In contrast, EVA adhesive contains a certain amount of formaldehyde and other harmful substances. Although it complies with relevant national standards, its environmental performance is relatively low compared with PUR glue.

4.Cost

The price of PUR edge banding machine is relatively high, mainly due to the higher cost of using PUR adhesive. However, because the PUR edge banding machine has better edge banding effects and is more durable, it can save maintenance and replacement costs in the long run. On the other hand, the price of EVA edge banding machine is relatively low and suitable for furniture manufacturers with limited budget.

4.Application scope

PUR edge banding machine is suitable for edge banding processing of various furniture, including cabinets, wardrobes, desks, etc. Due to its excellent moisture-proof performance, it is especially suitable for environments with high humidity such as bathrooms and kitchens. On the other hand, EVA edge banding machines are mainly used for furniture production that does not have strict requirements on edge banding effects, such as simple and economical furniture.

5.Operation and maintenance

There are differences in the operation and maintenance of PUR edge banding machines and EVA edge banding machines.  The operation of the PUR edge banding machine is relatively simple, but it requires regular cleaning and maintenance to ensure its normal operation. In contrast, the maintenance of EVA edge banding machines is relatively troublesome, and the use of adhesive needs to be checked regularly and replaced in time. In addition, PUR edge banding machines have a longer service life, while EVA edge banding machines may require more frequent repairs and parts replacement.
